Cheetah vs Leopard
Cheetahs are faster than leopards. Cheetahs can reach 70 miles per hour (mph) while leopards can run 35 mph. So cheetahs are twice as fast as leopards. In fact, the cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world. Cheetahs use their incredible speed and acceleration to chase and catch their prey during the day, whereas leopards stalk and pounce on their prey, often at night.

Leopards are stronger than cheetahs. They use their strength to climb and jump out of trees. They can leap 6 metres forward in a single bound, and jump 3 metres straight up. They can hunt prey in trees, such as monkeys and owls. When they kill their prey on the ground they often bring their food up into a nearby tree so other predators (such as lions or hyenas) can’t get it. This way, leopards can return to eat more at a later time.
